Entry Procedures
1.TWAC (Taiwan Arrival Card)
→ All non-Taiwanese nationals must complete the electronic arrival card (TWAC) online through the TWAC official website within 3 days before arrival.
2.Immigration and Customs Check
→ Upon arrival at the airport, follow the procedures at Immigration and Customs in order.
3.Declaration of Items
→ It is prohibited to bring items such as e-cigarettes, dried meat, salmon roe, and other restricted items.
→ Items exceeding the duty-free limit (e.g., alcohol up to 1.5 liters) must be declared and taxes paid.
4.Short-term Departure and Re-entry
→ Students holding a Resident Visa or ARC who plan a short-term trip outside Taiwan must apply for a Re-entry Permit in advance.
Important Notes
1.Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) Application
→ Resident visa holders must apply for an ARC at the National Immigration Agency within 15 days after arrival.
2.Health and Quarantine
→ Taiwan has lifted quarantine and COVID-19 testing requirements for incoming travelers.
→ Carry health or vaccination records for reference and verification.
3.Visa Validity and Expiry
→ Failure to apply for or renew the ARC on time may result in automatic cancellation and mandatory departure.
4.Required Documents
→ Bring your passport (original and copy), entry visa, student ID, proof of housing, and enrollment certificate.
