Asia University, though quite fresh, has been renowned for its high-quality education and distinguished academic performance. Given multiple honors has proved our achievement:
THE “World University Rankings 2023,” CMU ranked 265 and AU ranked 384 in the world, at once laudable and well-earned academic achievements for both universities.
According to Times Higher Education (THE) “World University Rankings 2023,” China Medical University (CMU) ranked 265 in the world, top 2 in Taiwan and top 1 in the private university sector, while Asia University (AU) ranked top 384 in the world, top 4 in Taiwan, and top 3 in the private university sector, at once laudable and well-earned academic achievements for both universities.
THE recently released its “World University Rankings 2023,” and Taiwan had in total 43 universities listed in the world, among which were CMU and AU, two private universities under the leadership of the same Chairman, who is visionary, innovative, and global-minded as well.
*Establishment of a Nobel Laureate Forum —In 2010, Asia University established a “Nobel Laureate Forum”, and so far 12 Nobel laureates and 7 world-famous scholars have been invited to give speeches at Asia University, inspiring students and faculty members to “see higher and longer” in the academic world.
*United with China Medical University to show solidarity — China-Asia Associated University (CA2) —Being long-time cooperation partners, the two universities, AU and China Medical University became a union in 2012, promoting further sharing of teaching and research resources to be more competitive in higher education.
*Efforts made to promote internationalization —Asia University continuously makes efforts to promote internationalization. Over the past two decades, Aisa University has built partnerships with more than 300 academic institutions, fostering academic collaboration and interaction between schools. *Being recognized as the best new university in 2005, with all degree programs passing the examination in 2008 and being acknowledged to have the best achievement in the second university accreditation conducted by the Ministry of Education in 2011 —In the 2005 university assessment conducted by the Ministry of Education, AU ranked No. 1 in the 3rd group of universities. All the degree programs, including the undergraduate, the master, and the Ph. D. programs, passed the assessment conducted by the Ministry of Education in 2008 — another great achievement of a university in Taiwan because very few universities can get all degree programs passed. Furthermore, Asia University was honored to have the best achievement in the second university accreditation conducted by the Ministry of Education in 2011.
■ Campus
Aisa University is well-known for its beautiful campus filled with artistic buildings, most of which were inspired by Greek or Roman architecture. The well-designed buildings have won a National Award for Outstanding Construction in 2009. Also, in 2013, the Asia University Museum of Modern Art, whose exterior design was led by the world-famous architect Mr. Tadao Ando, was elected nationally as one of the 10 prettiest Campus Scenic Spots in Taiwan.
