Office of International Affairs

Asia University (AU) aspires to become a prestigious international university. In response to the growing trend in the globalization of higher education, AU started recruiting international students in 2004, and has already admitted more than 2530 international degree program students from more than 45 countries, including China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Chile, Colombia, Saint Vincent, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Germany, France, Finland, the United Kingdom, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Russia, Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

In order to better serve and care for our fast growing number of international students, AU established its International College in August, 2010. This College provides a friendly living and learning environment and helps coordinate and integrate on-campus teaching and research resources for our international students. This College also supervises quality of AU’s 30 English-medium international programs (as of 2021) for both graduate and undergraduate students. In addition, it offers various CEFR levels of Mandarin Chinese courses to meet the needs of our international students for their academic studies and daily life. It also works together with AU’s academic Colleges to create and offer summer programs for the visiting international students of AU’s partner universities around the globe.
