- Personal seal (chop) or signature: A personal seal is commonly required in Taiwan, though some banks accept signatures.
- Taiwan contact address and phone number: Needed to receive bank correspondence and ATM card.
- Initial deposit: Varies by bank, usually around NT$1,000.
3.Notes
- If the account is only needed for receiving funds (e.g., scholarships), some banks may provide a foreign currency account or an NTD account, depending on your needs.
- Some banks (such as Chunghwa Post, CTBC Bank, Taishin Bank) are more student-friendly and may process applications more efficiently.
