(1) First-time immigrants (admitted but not registered): passport, residence visa, Certificate of Admission, proof of residence in Taiwan, and a front photo (two-inch size) half-length body taken within the last two years.
(2) First-time entry (admitted and registered): Passport, residence visa, certificate of admission, certificate of enrollment or student ID, certificate of residence in Taiwan, and a two-inch half-length front photo taken within the last two years.
3) Resident extension: passport, alien residence permit, certificate of enrollment or student ID, and a two-inch half-length frontal photo with hat off within the last two years.
(4) Personal data change registration: passport, alien residence permit, and proof of the change (if necessary, the relevant proof of the changed data shall be attached, such as the updated passport, the loss of the reissued person shall attach the loss declaration or the report certificate) and a photo of the two-inch half-length body taken within last two years.

FAQ 3: How to apply for a residence permit (ARC)?
How to get the certificate:
1. First-time entry (admitted but not registered): After the applicant completes the payment in the online system, please download and print the electronic residence permit with a residence validity of six months, and completes the school registration process. Before the expiration date, you need to take the passport, the original electronic residence permit, and the two-inch half-length body front photo (taken within 2 years) for the extension of the residence validity period and renew the alien residence permit.
2. First-time entry (admitted and registered): The applicant downloads and prints the online payment receipt from the online system, and please take it to the service counter to receive the alien residence permit after three working days.
3. For non-first-time visitors: the applicant downloads and prints the online payment receipt from the online system, and please take it to the service counter to receive the alien residence permit (the old permit must be returned) after three working days.

FAQ 4: How to do the payment for residence permit (ARC) application?
After the online system application case is reviewed and approved by the Immigration Department, please pay the document fee within five working days. The bidding projects and fees are as follows
1: Foreign students, one-year residence permit fee: NTD 1,000.
2: Foreign students, two-year residence permit fee: NTD 2,000.
3: Foreign students, three-year residence permit fee: NTD 3,000.
4: The fee for data change and re-issuance of certificates: NTD 500.
*According to regulations, foreign students can only apply for one year, except for students who have scholarship certificates issued by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other agencies.
*The system provides multiple payment methods such as:
"International Credit Card", "Internet ATM", "Virtual Account", "E-Government Payment Platform", and "Four Superstores".
Regarding the payment method of "international credit card", this platform does not support China UnionPay and American Express cards.
